Currently, The NRP Group has assets and operations in Ohio, Texas, North Carolina, Virginia, Michigan, and Indiana. We are currently seeking a Regional Safety Director for our Cleveland, OH office. The Regionall Safety Director will report to the SVP of Construction. This individual will perform a wide variety of upper level construction and safety management tasks that include program development, evaluation of program efficacy, implementation of progressive risk management policies and interaction with all levels of employees inclusive of senior managers and company owners. This individual will also verify subcontractor compliance with contractual safety specifications and applicable federal, state and local code requirements. Design and enhance risk management programs that address/prevent occupational injuries, hazards and property loss to NRP. The incumbent will oversee and/or perform site safety evaluations, review work practices and manage all 3rd party safety staff. Investigates and reviews for quality/validity of accident reports, reports of injury, incidents that result in property damage and/or monetary loss to NRP. Evaluates and determines construction management training needs, organizes and conducts semi annual (or more frequent as need indicates) training courses that are designed to support daily site operations. Administers an on-line training program and coordinates all training with NRP internal training department. Manages a safety performance incentive program and determines the candidate for annual safety award. Represents NRP in external and internal safety meetings to provide comprehensive technical advice and interpretation of applicable rules, regulations, code and/or laws. Advises and supports legal counsel during any applicable litigation and represents NRP during and OSHA or regulatory agency related matter. Prepares and presents program status reports and technical reports to management/owners that contain recommendations for best practice and corrective actions for non-compliance. Minimum Qualifications OSHA 30 hour certified OSHA 500 instructor CPR/AED/1st aid instructor Four year degree in applicable field. CSP or ASP preferred. Qualified experience can be submitted as a substitute. Extensive documented experience with management of large construction risk management programs. Documented skill in conducting accident/incident reviews. Fluent in Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint and photography software. Documented skill in conducting property loss investigation. Understands theories, principles and practices of construction safety, engineering, fire/safety, risk management and workers compensation. Will work closely with Human Resource staff and director. Ability to execute emergency/disaster plans and aid in recovery procedures. Must have ability to analyze and manage critical path and complex operations. Bilingual candidates preferred Ability to handle and coordinate with multiple consultants at any given time Must have 5 years of experience managing a large construction safety/risk management program. Preference will be given to candidates that have either multi-family and/or similarly sized commercial construction experience.
