The NRP Group is currently seeking a Senior Learning & Development Partner to join our team in Cleveland!


Partnering with the Director of Learning and Leadership Development, the Senior Learning and Development Partner supports the growth and development of talent at all levels within NRP. This individual will be responsible for developing and implementing learning and development programs that align with NRP’s key business strategies and initiatives. Scope of programs could include leadership, management, and core competency development.

The successful candidate will be creative and ready to perform in a fast-paced environment, committed to continuous learning, be an innovative and critical thinker, comfortable with ambiguity, and will see this as an opportunity to collaborate and build programs that will have a significant impact on the company.

Essential Functions:

  • Partners with the Director of Learning and Leadership Development and consults with leaders and HR partners across NRP to understand and align learning and development strategies to strategic business priorities.  Conducts needs assessments to recommend, develop, and implement appropriate learning and development solutions.

  • Using proven instructional design methodology and adult learning principles; researches, designs, develops and delivers complete learning solutions on a variety of topics including role based, professional development, management, and leadership.  Uses mediums that match both subject matter and learning objectives. Solutions include but are not limited to programs, curriculum, instructor-led sessions, virtual instructor-led sessions, e-learning, job aides, videos, and other training/learning resources.  Stays current on learning trends and technology to deliver first class solutions.

  • Conducts onboarding activities to enhance the new hire experience, beginning with day one through their first 90 days. 

  • Conducts new leader onboarding activities for newly hired and newly promoted people managers across NRP. Activities include coaching, assessments, and new leader assimilation programs.

  • Develops and executes effective leadership programming for emerging and mid-level leaders that supports the organization’s strategic objectives.

  • Uses a variety of assessment tools to help leaders build self-awareness and improve effectiveness.  Administers assessments and debriefs assessment results.  Assists leaders in building development plans, coaches to execution as needed. (Assessment tools my include 360’s, EQ, Hogan, etc.)

  • Develops, documents, and tracks progress made on individual development plans. Provides coaching for individuals and leaders to improve or enhance skills. 

  • Evaluates and measures the impact of learning and coaching engagements to enhance solution delivery and results.  Recommends additional developmental solutions as needed to improve performance deficiencies or enhance performance.

  • Provides support on other learning, leadership development, talent management, and organizational development initiatives, processes, and projects as needed.

  • Utilizes e-learning authoring tools to create vibrant asynchronous learning programs.

  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Qualifications


  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Adult Education, Instructional Design, Leadership Development, or related field preferred

  • Training and/or Curriculum and Instructional Design certifications preferred

  • Experience:

  • 5+ years of prior knowledge and experience in adult learning and education; previous learning and development, leadership program management or HR work experience.

  • Ability to effectively consult with leaders, assess needs, design and develop content, plan, coordinate, and deliver custom learning and development solutions at the individual and organizational level.  Able to manage logistics and content development and delivery for multi-day leadership or individual programs.

  • Understanding of leadership development processes with experience creating individualized development plans and providing formalized development coaching across all levels.

  • Experience using Articulate authoring and design tools including RISE and Storyline, Canva, Camtasia, and Vyond.

  • Prefer experience administering 360 or other assessments including debriefing and working with participants to build and execute on individual development plans based on results. Also has experience helping groups understand and effectively use team results for organizational growth.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
