Ben Olson

Construction

Ben Olson joined The NRP Group in 2015 and now serves as a Vice President of Construction. 

He is responsible for plan design and coordination, estimating, budgeting and plan review/design development through all preconstruction phases. Over his 21-year career he has been a part of designing and building over 30,000 units.

Prior to NRP, Olson worked for 12 years as a project manager and senior project manager in Southern California for Sares Regis Group building high-density multifamily projects. He has experience building wrap and podium style properties in urban infill locations and is highly skilled in both Type V and Type III construction. Olson earned a bachelor’s degree in construction management from Brigham Young University.

The San Antonio office was the first NRP office in Texas and opened in 2003 with only eight employees and three projects. Now, in the San Antonio metro alone, in collaboration with our amazing public and private partners, we have developed 64 affordable, mixed income and market rate communities encompassing over 14,000 apartment homes, at an investment of over $2 billion, making San Antonio the largest and most prolific single metro area served by The NRP Group. We could not be prouder of the collaborations that have enabled us to provide exceptional rental housing in San Antonio for individuals and families, regardless of income.

Bridge at Estancia is The NRP Group’s third partnership with the Housing Authority of the City of Austin to reach residents earning at or below 60% of the area median income. The apartment community is four stories and has structured parking. It features community amenities including a community room and fitness center, and modern finishes in each of its apartment homes. It is the affordable component of a master-planned community called Estancia Hill Country, which will feature multi- and single family housing, retail, and more. There are plans to build a children’s hospital near Bridge at Estancia, making the community proximal to many jobs. Bridge at Estancia is one of the few new affordable housing options on the west side of I-35 as most new affordable options are on the east side of this city-dividing highway.

The Delegate at City Point is a 352-unit apartment community that is part of City Point, a 52-acre mixed-use development in North Richland Hills, Texas, a suburb of Fort Worth. City Point offers a community of residences, office, retail, and restaurants within a short commute of major employers in Fort Worth and Dallas. The Delegate is next to the retail area and single-family homes, providing a walkable, aspirational neighborhood setting. The highly-amenitized apartment community will feature modern finishes in each apartment home, a large courtyard, community room, and 24-hour fitness center.

Revolve is a 299-unit transit-oriented market rate apartment community in Central Austin. The unique public-private partnership with the Austin Affordable Housing Corporation that financed Revolve ATX guarantees that half of the apartment homes are reserved for residents earning at or below 80% of the area median income. The community is located four miles north of the Central Business District of Austin in the City’s third largest master-planned, mixed-use development outside of The Domain and Downtown, called “Highland Village.” Highland Village’s campus is anchored by Austin Community College’s new high-tech innovation district and will be the home to the City of Austin’s Planning and Development Center. Highland’s dedicated light-rail transit stop is two stops from downtown Austin in one direction and two stops from The Domain in the other direction, offering residents access to live, work and play everywhere Austin has to offer. Many of Austin’s top restaurants, bars, and coffee shops operate within the Highland master plan or surrounding neighborhoods. Highland is located at the convergence of major transit corridors, including I-35, US 290, and Airport Boulevard. The highly-amenitized apartment community will feature modern finishes in each apartment home, a large courtyard, community room, and 24-hour fitness center.
