The Waymark is a 109-unit multifamily community consisting of studio, one-, two-, and three-bedroom apartment homes for residents earning 30-80% of the area median income. The community reserves 22 units as Permanent Supportive Housing apartments. Located in the Benning Heights neighborhood in Northeast Washington, D.C. residents have convenient access to grocery, retail, schools, public transportation, and local parks. The community features amenities including a courtyard, fitness center, interior and exterior bike parking, business center, and playground. The Waymark is developed and owned in partnership with the Marshall Heights Community Development Organization, a DC-based, 45-year-old community economic development organization. The Waymark is financed through local investment from the DC Housing Finance Agency, the DC Department of Housing and Community Development, the DC Green Bank, and the DC Housing Authority.
