Tax Staff Accountant

The NRP Group, LLC is currently looking for a Tax Staff Accountant in Cleveland, Ohio, to join our team of A+ players!

Primary job responsibilites are:

  • Assist in the preparation of federal and state partnership income tax returns 

  • Assist in the preparation of quarterly tax projections for the owners of the Company 

  • Preparation of monthly personal financial statements for principal owner of the Company 

  • Forecast federal and state personal tax liabilities and coordinate cash needs with outside accounting firm and investment advisors  

  • Develop a process for tracking cash activity and performance results for new executive investment fund 

  • Complete research assignments as requestedFor example, analyze the impact of any pending tax legislation on the tax position of the Company owners 

The successful candidate will possess the following skills and attributes:

  • Minimum of two years of experience in the preparation of federal and state partnership returns or individual income tax returns for high-net-worth individuals or small business owners in a public accounting firm or family office environment.

  • Proven ability to work on teams with others, including external service providers, such as lawyers, investment advisors and accounting firms

  • Experience working with highly sensitive and personal information and will perform their duties with the utmost integrity to maintain the confidentiality of such information

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and be able to conduct periodic meetings with the owners to explain their tax position and changes in forecasts from period to period

  • Ability to collect financial data from various sources and organize the information so that it is readily available and easily understood  

  • College degree in accounting or finance

  • Partnership tax experience preferred, but not required

  • CPA preferred, but not required
