Max Whipple joined The NRP Group in 2019 as a Development Associate and now serves as Vice President of Development.

He is responsible for sourcing and entitling new projects, comprising everything from land acquisition to the start of construction. He also works to build and foster relationships with public partners, government agencies and housing authorities. In his role, Whipple works on affordable housing deals in the Houston and Coastal Bend markets. Since joining NRP in 2019, he has overseen the development of nearly 2,000 units in Texas with a development value of $450M.

Whipple graduated from the University of Michigan with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and a minor in Chinese Language and Literature. He is involved with the Urban Land Institute and the Texas Affiliation of Affordable Housing Providers Legislative & Municipal Affairs-Houston Committee.
