Frontera Crossing is a 348-unit apartment community in Southwest San Antonio in an opportunity zone, which is an area that receives additional public funding to bring it out of economic distress. The NRP Group partnered with the San Antonio Housing Authority to develop this community, which serves residents earning at or below 60% of the area median income. The building includes a business center, fitness center, clubhouse, and pool. The development is geared toward “everyday heroes” such as teachers, first responders and retail workers. It is located near a new Amazon distribution plant, brand new high schools and middle schools, and a Toyota truck factory. It features a craftsman ranch-style design and has a community garden on site.

As a lifelong resident of the South Side, I’ve seen the district change with each generation, but the one thing that remains the same is the pride that the district’s residents have in their community. [Frontera Crossing] will be a development that not only provides affordable housing to our residents, but it will also bring a much needed fresh and modern place to call home.
